Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview
This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

Dallas took us to meet his dogs and we heard his life story and got to mush 4 dogs for 4 miles. It was really fun! We got to trade places riding and driving the sled and to spend time with the dogs and hear about their backgrounds. The staff were really nice and informative and we learned so much! Would definitely recommend this experience If you love dogs!

We love having dog-lovers at our kennel, and we are so glad that you were able to meet Dallas. Our staff love to introduce people to dryland mushing, and are so glad that everyone enjoyed driving their own dog team. Thanks for the amazing review!

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Alaska and is a must-do for adventure seekers and dog lovers visiting the Talkeetna area. The custom carts are easy to steer and brake (if you can confidently ride a mountain bike, you can easily control the cart), and mushing the dogs through the cool forest on their training track is a blast! Our 16 year-old daughter loved every minute of it, including the ride, meeting all of the dogs, and playing with the puppies. Jesse and the trainers were happy to provide a behind-the-scenes look into the training regimen and race preparation for this champion team. This tour is worth every penny and we would definitely do it again!

We have worked so hard to make our kennel a playground for adventure-seekers and dog-lovers, so we are thrilled to hear that your family of adventure-seekers gave this a thumbs-up! Our guides had a lot of fun introducing you to the world of dryland mushing, and we are so glad that you enjoyed our behind-the-scenes tour with Jesse. Thank you for the great review!

8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids ages 11-13) Had a personal tour of the kennels, learned to mush, and met the new crop of canine athletes. Dallas and his team were outstanding hosts and made us feel at home. All 8 of us agreed it was one of most impressive things we did during our two weeks in AK. Highly recommend
