We visited as part of a Salmonberry tour, and it's so great that I'm reviewing it separately. The 100 or so sled dogs are all social and very obviously well-treated. We met Beatle, a 14-yr-old, 4-time Iditarod champion, who has received the golden harness award for most outstanding lead dog. He has retired to the couch. We got a lesson in mushing, and then took off on a 45 minute trail adventure! Really really great. Then we learned how to get our dogs out of harness, and finally smooched puppies! I was impressed with the care our guides showed the dogs, and impressed with how much the dogs love their careers!

My expectations were more than met for this tour. We got the unique experience to tour with a small group since it was Iditarod weekend, which was awesome because it felt a lot more personalized. My boyfriend and I got a sled to ourselves, and driving the sled was so much fun. We got to meet most of the dogs at the kennel, including the little 5 week old pups! Dallas Seavey is an innovative musher and truly has an amazing set-up at his kennel, I felt like his dogs were so well taken care of. The staff was attentive, friendly, and informative. I would recommend this to anyone.

My sister and I participated in this wonderful experience. We learned so much about the sport. The staff was amazing. The facilities were clean and the dogs were happy. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
