The morning tour (6:30 AM or 7:00 AM) is our most recommended tour due to calmer ocean conditions and more wildlife sightings.
Raft tours will include seeing and possibly entering sea caves and snorkeling, but only if the ocean conditions are safe enough to do so. Your tour’s Captain will make this decision. (We do not snorkel in the sea caves.)
We recommend booking early in your vacation in case of a weather cancellation, you have more time left in your vacation to rebook.
Our tour departs from the west side of Kauai— We meet in Waimea at the Na Pali Riders office.
When ocean conditions are not favorable for a Na Pali Coast tour or the minimum passenger count for the safety and stability of our vessel is not met, you will be offered the following: The option to rebook for a different date and time. The option for a full refund.
WARNING: The Zodiac© raft makes for a wild and rough ride. Due to the nature of the Nā Pali Ocean Raft Tour, you must be in good physical condition to attend this tour. We cannot accommodate pregnant women, anyone with back or neck problems, medical conditions or recent surgeries.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Best tour we’ve ever done!! Macaroni and Captain Le Croix were amazing. My family of 5-with 3 kiddos ages 15,15, and 12 thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It’s an adventure tour-not for the faint of heart-it’s a huge raft where you sit on the outside and put your feet under a rope to hold you in while holding on to the arm ropes too. We saw a pod of spinner dolphins, a whale waving his tail at us, an amazing coast, sea caves, and then a group of 4 whales at the surface-so cool. The ride back home was like a thrilling Hawaiian roller coaster ride which we all loved! My teens said they loved it so much and best thing they’ve ever done. The crew was great-they were so knowledgeable about the island and all the places we went. They were fun, high energy and brought the aloha spirit with their personal connection -they provided drinks, chips and fruit right after snorkeling for a bit. They played great music from an awesome playlist and we sang along. As the captain said this is a raft boat adventure tour and not a snorkeling tour. However, we were able to get out and snorkel for a bit and we saw some fish but this tour is not about getting in the water-it’s about what you can see on the water and from the water. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the wildlife is not too shabby. Local smaller family owned company and happy we went with them!! No need for shoes on the boat -I kinda wish I would have had some water socks as the rope did rub my feet a bit. They do also have gloves for your hands in case they are feeling rubbed or chafed! But I really didn’t care as it was simply amazing. If you can’t hold on tight and are not up for a bumpy adventurous delightful ride, then this is not for you . But if you are adventurous, are physically capable and want to see something Amazing, this is THE EXPEDITION for you! They do have center seats that are a bit less bumpy:)

Amazing experience, staff was beyond amazing and accommodating. Funny and friendly. I would highly reccomend going on this trip it was my best experience in Kauai!

Wow, what an adventure! Everyting was awesome; the guides, caves, history, views, dolphins, whales and ocean swimming! Definitely exceeded our expectations!
