Hop aboard a replica of a historic San Francisco cable car and enjoy endless unobstructed views of vineyard-dotted hills on this special wine-tasting adventure. Visit three - four wineries for tastings, and learn all about Napa’s history and wine from your friendly and knowledgeable guide. Enjoy lunch at one of the stops either outside among the vines are in a cave. Winery stops change periodically.

What To Expect

Oxbow Public Market

You’ll be picked up at Napa’s Oxbow Market in the late morning for a 6-hour tour on the Napa Valley Wine Trolley, an open-air vehicle modeled after a historic 1890s San Francisco cable car. Enjoy the wind in your air as you take in the beautiful sights and smells of Napa wine country. Your friendly, knowledgeable guide will keep you entertained with commentary and stories about Napa’s history and wine culture.

Napa Valley

Visit three or four family-owned Napa Valley wineries for private wine-tasting sessions. Your hosts will explain the different varietals you taste and give you a background on the wineries (wine-tasting fees are not included; fees range between USD$25 and $40). Stop for lunch catered by Ottimo, award winning Chef Michael Chiarello's Italian Eatery and tasting room. Enjoy gourmet sandwiches, side salads, and desserts. All served family style! You’ll have plenty of wonderful photo opportunities throughout your tour, and your guide will be happy to take a photo of your group so you can document your memorable day in wine country. At the end of the day, you’ll be taken back to Oxbow Market – there are plenty of delicious dining options here if you’d like to have dinner after your tour.

Richard our tour guide was really great and had a lot of fun facts and anecdotes about the area. The lunch was great (salad, pizza, sorbet), everyone on the tour agreed it was a lot more than we expected. We were made to feel like our tour was unique and a special experience. Well worth the money.

The weather was pushing 115°, so we had an air conditioned bus instead of a trolley. The wineries were all super informative and so was the driver. Lunch was great too. Overall, an amazing experience.

I loved the trolley ride and our visit to the different wineries! We made friends with many of the other visitors on the wine tour. How can you not when everyone is there to drink wine. The food we had for lunch was delicious. Our trolley driver, Jimmy, was so knowledgeable about the area, was funny, and he made sure everyone was having a good time. We went to 1 winery first, then a tasting room with lunch, and one more winery after. It was a great way to get to try different Napa wines in one day without having to worry about driving or getting an Uber. I would say from the very start to us getting to the trolley to the very end was about 6 hours total. Each winery or tasting was between $20 - $30. Each tasting had staff who were very kind and knowledgeable about Napa valley and the wine they make. It was definitely a great investment in time and money. I would definitely do this tour again. Also, make sure you check the actual time of your tour. The time on trip advisor is 15 minutes later than the time you’re actually supposed to be on the trolley by. For example, we signed up for 10;30, but it’s recommended we get there by 10:00 to depart at 10:15. So make sure you’re there early!

Thank you for your comments and review. Yes the pick up time can be confusing because the tour does start after our last pick up with is at 10:20. The pick up time for the oxbow is at @10:00 am.
