Starting with the driver he was very dry didn't seem like he wanted to be there. He told us we had to keep masks on at all times but most of the time while talking to us he didn't have one on himself. Not just that he was coughing like crazy and had sweat come down his face. We were all worried cuz he was directly in front of us. Our first stop was pretty bad they took us to a winery house and had us go in the basement area for wine tasting. The place was cold they did have a small heater next to us but when I tried to turn it on it didn't work. Im glad I brought my jacket with me. Also the host barely talk he just poured the wine and that was it. He had no social skills it was quiet for the most part sort of awkward. Bathroom also had no soap and only cold water. Our second stop was the only one we enjoyed we got some really delicious salad and three different kinds of pizzas to share between four of us. No complaints there the waiters were super nice. And even gave us extra salad. The third stop was okay the host actually explained things to us and showed us the proper way to hold a wine glass. I felt like I learned something about their wines and their history. I went on a wine trolley about 3 years ago and it was completely different the wine was included and was totally worth it. I remember going to the castle I was very disappointed when the driver told us we weren't going there he said they stopped going there because of covid. At the castle they gave us a list of wines and they had us pick which ones we wanted to try. The wine was also free included in our trip. And if we wanted extra that's when they would charge us. I guess they're trying to make their money back from covid so they charge you to try the wine. The first place had us try 4 different wines and the price to try them was $35 the second place was supposed to be 4 but they were short one wine so they only charged us $20 and the third was $25 also 4 types of wines but none of them offered sweet wines. One of our friends only likes sweet wine so she didn't enjoy the trip and barely tried anything we ended up asking if we can try a sweet wine and they gave her a small glass but if we wouldn't have asked she wouldn't have tried any.

Very sorry this did not meet your expectations. By looking at most of our reviews you can see that we have many very happy customers. Monticello is a wonderful stop and we get great reviews from them. Perhaps they where having a bad day. I will mention it to them. Comments like that help us all get better. Im glad you took our castle tour years ago. However at no time where the tasting included. The castle tour tasting was included in the price of the ticket which was an additional $40 from what you paid today. All of the other tastings where additional charge. Napa Valley, one of the best wine locations in the world, grows and serves Cabernet mainly. Sweet wines are not grown here or served often here. I'm sure there is a white zinfandel someplace in the valley, but would be hard to find.

One of the highlights of our girls trip, wonderful experience! Our guide was educational, funny, and nice. We went to two different wineries, both really nice experiences, and stopped for lunch at a cool spot that had a wine tasting option & was in the center of a Yountville bakery building. Lunch was private for our trolley group and included a variety of delicious artisan pizzas, salad, and dessert. We also stopped at the big Napa sign by the train tracks to take some pictures, and the guide took photos of each group next to the trolley before departure. Would definitely book again!
