My cousin and I came into town to visit my daughter. We wanted a fun way to experience Napa Valley and all the wonderful wineries it had to offer. Being that there are so many wineries to choose from, the Trolley experience took the guess work out of having to decide for ourselves. Make sure to sit in the glassed in area on the Trolley. It gets very windy on the drive to the castle. The first stop, Castello De Amorosa, was so faciniting. The tour was fantastic. The wine was amazing. We were able to spend quite a bit of time walking through the castle. We then embarked on our next stop. They had water bottles for us on the trolley which was very nice. Our next stop was Clos Pegase. The wine caves were amazing. We had lunch served to us out on in the court yard. It was such a beautiful day. The lunch spread was fantastic. We had ordered vegetarian meals a couple days prior to our tour. If you do this make sure to get in line first because people who didn’t read the instructions about ordering special meals took some of the vegetarian sandwiches which left some people with nothing to eat. The third stop on our tour was Flora Springs. This was such a nice surprise. Karri, our tasting guide was so informative and fun. We went ahead and decided to pay the extra for the wine tasting of the added wineries on the the tour. We figured why not since we came to taste wine. I would definitely recommend this tour. Especially if the weather is as beautiful as our was.

The only down side was the trolley broke down the day before, and we were transported in a small bus perfect for our group of 16.
The whole experience was awesome. Our guide, Jay was very knowledgeable about the area, the valley, how the first settlers came in, started to grow the grapes and make their wine. He brought us right up to the present time and what a lucrative business owning a winery can be. We visited 4 wineries, each one different from the other, and enjoyed tastings and history. We had a lovely lunch at our third stop along with some wine. A nice day.
It was a lovely day. A friend has already asked for information for a planned trip to northern California.
