What To Expect

Took this the first morning in Savannah and it was the perfect way to start. Our driver (unfortunately I don't remember his name, but he had a beautiful Confederate jacket) was so knowledgeable and I have no ideal how he drove and gave so much information T the same time!!! If you only have a few days here, I definitely recommend this 3 hour tour!

We like to take a trolley tour of a new city to discover the highlights and places we might want to further explore on our own. Our hotel recommended Old Savannah Tours as a locally-owned tour company, We chose the Overview Tour with Larry as our driver and Mike as our guide. Mike talked non-stop pointing out highlights and providing background history where appropriate. The tour was 90 minutes and left from the Visitor's Center. The company also offers an On & Off Tour if preferred. Since Savannah is very walkable, this was a wonderful way to begin our first visit to Savannah.

We enjoyed the historic Savannah Tour immensely! The rain and wind from Tropic Storm Nestor didn't help with the visibility but the route and narration were great and almost made up for it.
