What To Expect

Old Savannah Tours

We took this tour because we were attracted to the idea of meeting costumed interpreters. Their brochure shows about a dozen of them and we thought we'd see at last half a dozen so were disappointed when we only 'met' two. Perhaps it was because our tour was the last one of the day and everyone had already gone home? I was disappointed. But, our driver did a fine job of explaining things with a lot of energy. I was glad I found a discount coupon in a local give-away map or I would have been even more disappointed.

I don't normally take bus or trolley tours of a city, but I am sure glad I took this tour with our excellent and informative driver, Chris. He was so entertaining, and he knew so much about Savannah. He made the city come to life for us. After the tour, we walked around the many beautiful squares and buildings and would remember what Chris had told us about this historic city. I would highly recommend this tour and then taking in the sights at your own pace by walking. If you can get on this tour with Chris, I would definitely take it. It was well worth the time and money.
