Our guide left most of our group in the dust. One of our group members was really struggling and he did not make sure he was okay or even ask when we all finally arrived at the end. They then proceeded to ask us to help them carry kayaks up after. When we are on vacation I don't want to do someone else's job. We liked how relaxing it was but our guide did not care he seemed to be in a hurry.

Hi Casey, I am so sorry if we seemed rushed that day. All of the outfitters found out that morning we had to carry our equipment across two parking lots to load. (Our normal pick up location was fenced off for the fireworks set up). It is never our intention to leave anyone behind but sometimes groups will separate and we try to keep with as many people as we can. We only asked for help carrying equipment that weekend because of the fencing and parking issues. So again thank you for helping! Hopefully it was enjoyable for the float portion of the trip. I will message you right now to see if you are interested in a complimentary tour on another day that is less chaotic.

Really enjoyed kayaking the Cumberland river. We have kayaked in other cities and with all sorts of groups and this was a good one
