Overview

Get ready for an exciting adventure! Your guide will give a fun and informative safety briefing, along with a short introduction to paddling the Cumberland River.

The route we take on the Cumberland is approximately 3 miles and usually takes around 90 minutes, depending on the current speed and weather conditions. Plan for 90 minutes on the water and 30 minutes for loading and preparation. This section of the Cumberland is typically calm, making it perfect for first-time kayakers. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and capture amazing photos along the way!

We are from Nashville and included a paddle tour in our annual end of summer fun day before kids head back to college. We had a full day planned based on the tour times advertised. We had a great time paddle boarding but the tour was billed as 2-3 hours with 1.5 - 2 actually on the water. We departed on the their bus at 10 am and were back in our cars pulling away at 11:30 after hauling all the paddle boards, etc back up from the dock to their van, taking pictures, etc. When I expressed disappointment that the tour length was not as billed, the tour guides then stated that some groups paddle upriver first or spend more time at the dock. This comment was offered after we had already hauled all the gear back up to the van. We had paid to park for the time advertised and then were expected to tip. The guides were friendly but we felt a little disappointed in the experience for the price.

My wife and I had so much fun today. Will was super friendly, very helpful, and a joy to hang with. He drove us to the starting point then waited at the finish for us. Shelley was our guide down the river. She made the trip so much fun. They did a great job showing a newbie (me) how to paddleboard. Shelley took some awesome pictures of our trip along the way and made the trip so much fun. The view of the city in the distance as we paddled down the river was amazing. If you like the water and are in Nashville this trip is a MUST! If you get to pick, ask for Will and Shelley!
