National Corvette Museum
The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car.  Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum.  As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership.  You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs.  Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit.  This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes.  The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items.  An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

My husband (a car enthusiast) had been wanting to visit the National Corvette Museum for some time. The museum was great! There were tons of cars on display and the seeing the sink hole was fascinating! There was a kids zone but it was designed for young kids (under 4). My husband could have stayed for hours but the kids were through with the museum fairly quickly.

Very well organized and interesting, if in the area, it’s a must see. Plan on at least a couple hours.

I stopped at the National Corvette Museum on the way to Mammoth Cave. Compared to other attractions in the area, the museum is inexpensive and one could probably find a coupon at the Kentucky Welcome Center or a hotel in the area. I loved the retro look of the museum including the old Mobil gas station and the old Corvette dealership display with the Corvettes. Being from Huntsville, Alabama, I appreciate the National Corvette Museum bringing in NASA and the Marshall Space Flight Center for a temporary exhibit of old corvettes the astronauts from the Apollo missions drove for the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing. As far as the professional pictures taken, the museum wanted to charge $35 for a set of pictures. After I declined, one of the employees was willing to take $10 off and I got three professionally done pictures with the Corvette Museum background and access to digital prints for less than what Ruby Falls in Chattanooga wanted to charge me for one photo.

Thank you for visiting and for the feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the Museum and exhibits. We did want to let visitors know that the photo service provided at the Museum is an outside company, FotoFX. We are glad to hear that their pricing is more competitive than other attractions, though! Thanks again for sharing information about your visit.
