What To Expect

National Corvette Museum

The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car. Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum. As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership. You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs. Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit. This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes. The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items. An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

If you love corvettes, this is a must experience tour. Every vintage of corvette with a comprehensive historical journey of the iconic car. Plan to spend 2+ hours absorbing corvette knowledge.

The NCM is the Mecca for Corvette enthusiasts. There are so many beautiful cars and exhibits. The Skydome had an outline of the cave margins and the sinkhole where 8 cars were lost in 2014. There is also a manhole where you can look down 30 feet and see where the cars fell. The multimedia presentation about the collapse was mesmerizing. There is a lot to view and read! We highly recommend a visit.

One of the most unique museums we have ever seen. Unfortunately, we arrived on a Sunday about 9:00 in the morning as we were driving by on Interstate 65 and the museum was not open yet. As a young man in Minnesota, I sold Chevrolet cars and trucks, with great success, but never sold one Corvette. They are somewhat of a cult and you really have to understand them. The benches outside the museum portray great editions and events in the history of Corvettes. An amazing structure, when we first saw it from the highway, we wondered what the heck it was. You can see it for miles. As we approached there were all kinds of people in their hot rods racing around the nearby streets and hanging out at the museum. We loved this place, clean and full of life.
