National Corvette Museum
The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car.  Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum.  As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership.  You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs.  Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit.  This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes.  The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items.  An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

We were in Louisville for a few days and decided to drive down to Bowling Green to check out the National Corvette Museum. We are corvette owners so thought it would be interesting. Spent about 2 hours at the facility. While it is interesting, I did not find it overly impressive. The Gilmore Car Museum in Michigan is far more impressive and fun to tour. The sinkhole area was the most inrtriguing. I guess I just expected more. It was just average for me. Nothing over the top....glad I didn't make a special trip out of it.

If you are a Corvette enthusiast, this is a Must See. They have numerous corvettes on display as well as a few concept cars. They even have the ones that fell into the sinkhole and were recovered. Several of them are “unrepairable”. It’s definitely worth the stop.

We had a great time learning things we never new about the Corvette. My wife, who isn’t in to cars, had a good time. Nice place for people of ages. The price of admission was worth every penny.
