National Corvette Museum
The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car.  Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum.  As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership.  You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs.  Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit.  This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes.  The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items.  An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

We were passing by, so stopped in and had a look. Sure glad we did. The place is very well done. If you like corvette's you're in for a treat, there heaps of them there all sorts from the very first to the very latest, even some that were sucked into the ground!!

A planned visit to the Corvette museum did not disappoint. Took my Corvette buff father there for his 75th birthday. The inventory of cars they have on display is enough to get anyone's engines revved up. Rich in history, well laid out and packed full of information. This is an absolute must see! Plan about 3-4 hours to really take it all in.

We stopped off here to look around and stretch our legs as we drove from Nashville to Louisville after a long flight. We had a group of seven of which five were 18 years old. While a few of the people in the group were car buffs, most of us just like the idea; none of us can afford one. The sinkhole was the item that the kids kept talking about and there desire/dream for an older corvette that the astronauts would have received compared to the newer cars. We had a great visit and were kept busy the entire time, we went from room to room exploring and learned a lot. It was fun, interactive, and a great place to stretch and move around.
