What To Expect

National Corvette Museum

The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car. Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum. As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership. You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs. Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit. This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes. The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items. An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Definitely check this out. This is a fun place to visit and well worth the admission. Even if you're not interested in Corvettes, you will appreciate this museum. There is something for everyone. Of special interest was the sink hole exhibit.

I've been here several times. I'm not a huge car fan, but there is a lot of corvette history that just ties in with so much other history. They changed the exhibit so there is always something new to see. Since the sinkhole now there is a even a geology lesson and a look at the cars that could not be restored. Great museum experience and I'm sure I will return again. You can also watch as customers come to pick up there new Corvettes.

Spent a couple hours at the National Corvette Museum and really enjoyed it. The displays are great, and show many cars through the years. And the history of the famous museum cave-in is very well documented. Interesting to see the damaged vehicles.
