As a fairly new quilter, I wanted to visit the Museum for inspiration. I left quite humbled, immeasurably impressed, and more than a tad intimidated by the level of talent displayed. The variety of technique and the rotating displays made things interesting. The art of quilting certainly has a special place in the art world. The use of textiles to create dimension, texture, and emotion is fascinating. Anyone who appreciates art -- and definitely anyone who crafts or sews -- should have this on their bucket list.

I imagine beginning painters feel the same way when they visit the Met or Musee d'Orsay. We're happy you found beauty and inspiration at NQM!

Large selection of quilts to view, great variety of different techniques and mediums! I think some of the exhibits rotate so there will be something new each time. Courteous staff and clean facility! My mother is a quilter and thoroughly enjoyed her experience as did I. If you are into quilting at all, stop by! :)
