Wonderful experience! The display of amazing talent was incredible!! Our son recently moved to Paducah. We visited the quilt museum for a couple of hours. I’ve later learned that Paducah is a UNESCO Creative City (rightfully so). The efforts of the quilt museum staff are impressive!! The staff is so passionate and informative of the quilts on display. I’m a novice quilter, so I had an interest. However, the museum is a must see for any one of any age. I’m told the quilts are changed out periodically, as to showcase talents from all over. There is also opportunities to attend workshops.

I thoroughly enjoyed looking at and reading about the artists' inspiration for these beautiful and amazing pieces of art. Though there was a lovely docent available, eager to answer questions, I felt the Museum "missed" the opportunity to educate those of us who are not quilters and have no prior knowledge of the terms of art and techniques used in the craft. A short introductory video to quilt making; its history, the classical patterns used, the evolution of the techniques, would have been so helpful and appreciated. I hope the NQM will consider this suggestion as they continue to grow.

I am not a quilter but these pieces were amazing. Really works of art. The creativity and imagination involved in making these pieces are incredible. Not what you think of when most people think of quilts. Ample parking and friendly and knowledgeable staff.
