What a beautiful experience! The National Quilt Museum displays some of the most beautiful quilts in the world and does it in such a way that is relaxing and focuses your attention on each quilt. The lighting and coloring is soft so that each quilt shines. Take some time to really reflect on what's on display. The displays change from time to time so each visit will be different. Definitely a must see place, not only for quilters, but for anyone interested in art and beauty. There is a nice little gift shop as well.

Even if you are not a quilter, if you appreciate and enjoy art this is a place not to be missed. The exhibits are from many different places in the world and show how creative and talented a person can be with textile techniques that you may have never seen before. Currently there is a Chinese exhibit called "Love Stories" with items that have been stamped and indigo dyed - a technique that is hundreds of years old. Also the exhibit from Africa is so impressive that some of the quilts look almost like photographs! Something for everyone to enjoy.
