In our 7 day stay in Negril, we booked a catamaran excursion on 3 different days. Two from the resort we stayed at and this one on Viator. Viator crew was more professional and the Catamaran was newer and nicer and had an actual SAIL! We were picked up at our resort and taken to Margaritaville to meet the boat. Went to Ricks and did some snorkeling. Pretty much the same as the others, just a better experience. I would recommend this over the resort booked excursions. Plus it was less than the others!

I had initially booked this excursion about a week in advance as we were in Jamaica to celebrate my birthday. I had it booked for Tuesday but as the morning went on, my boyfriend suggested I reach out to the contact for the excursion to figure out when we were being picked up to go to Negril as we were staying in MoBay. Unfortunately, on the Tuesday, a ride wasn't organized for us as it was last minute and it was quite expensive for just the two of us to go to Negril. After reaching out again to the organizer, Sharyn, she was FANTASTIC. I told her that we still wanted to do the excursion and she was able to figure something out on the Friday which was reasonable. She was extremely quick with putting things into place - arranging a driver, letting us know where we could get food in Negril etc. It was very pleasant dealing with her; I was extremely impressed. The boat ride was great, we started to board around 2:30pm and there was no shortage of drinks on board. There was great music and dancing. There were a few kids on board as we didn't go on an adults only day but that was ok. The snorkelling was great, felt safe as there were lifeguards who made sure our floating devices were fit properly. There was a photographer on board who took really nice pics underwater and of you on the boat. Time at ricks was not long...by the time the shuttle boats had cleared the catamaran we had only about 35 mins before we had to leave - just enough time to watch the cliff diver jump from the highest peak and get a small bite to eat. The sunset was gorgeous across the water - I think thats why the time at Ricks was so short but either way, it was a day well spent.

We really enjoyed this excursion! The staff was so nice and helpful. The cruise was full of: fun, drinks, and dancing. The sites were beautiful and the snorkeling was fun and easy. So much better then my previous snorkeling trip. The staff helps you with the physical activity to make it easier for getting on transfer boats. If you dont want to do the activities you can stay on the boat drink and hang out. Everyone seemed to love it. A must do activity.
