The bonus part of this tour was the looks of jealousy and awe from the other tourists as we glided through New Orleans are our deluxe-o cruisers led by ourr awesome guide...I literally heard one guy on a crowded walking tour of the French Quarter point at us and wistfully whine, "I wish I was on that tour".. We did the French Quarter/Garden District combo tour and it was worth every penny. NOLA is a complex and interesting place and going on this tour helped us get the "lay of the land" and we learned a ton about the history, architecture, music and culture of NOLA. Erin emailed me book recommendations after the tour and I am devouring 2 of them. We did this the last day of a week in NOLA and I wish we had done it the first day and then rented bikes for the rest of the week. The city is very bike friendly with many bike lanes and paths. It makes it so easy to have breakfast at Cafe Du Monde and lunch at Commanders without having to ride slow, crowded trolleys or pay for a taxi. Definitely will be back for another tour with Buzz NOLA.

We took the Quarter Combo tour. This is a great way to see and learn about the French Quarter and the beautiful Garden District in a relaxed and fun way. Erin was a wonderful guide--very friendly and knowledgeable about New Orleans. We learned about the fascinating history of the city and about the many architectural styles in the French Quarter and the Garden District. I even learned a little about my own family history! It is not a strenuous, but a relaxing bike ride. The tour company provides a bottle of water for each guest. There is a stop to stretch your legs and a stop to buy a drink or snack. I would highly recommend this tour. It was a highlight of our trip.

The city of New Orleans enjoys walking and also cycling. This tour is highly recommended to get to know the Garden District because you can see several 19th century houses in a reasonable time and with a good historical and architectural explanation of the guide (Betsy). Perhaps I would prefer to know the French Quarter only walking, but this tour gives you a good first approach.
