The Tour guide Dave was fantastic. Good sense of humour, great story teller and very knowledgeable and engaging. The tour was fine to be honest. It was interesting and informative but I think you could easily get the street car to the garden district and have a wander around without doing an organised tour. The let down for me was the cemetery part of the tour involved standing at locked gates and peering through railings to the cemetery. The guide did explain that some ordnance from the New Orleans city officials had temporarily limited access to the cemetery for tours etc and this was to be rectified soon but I think it’s someone disingenuous to call it a cemetery tour when in fact this is not the case. The tour guide was great don’t get me wrong but I probably wouldn’t do it again. The street car was immense fun and a wander around the garden district would have given you a similar sense of the area considering access to the cemetery was forbidden.
