Jacki was very interesting, informative, pleasant, not at all dry and held our attention to all the wonderful history and architecture of NOLA's Garden District. There was a lot about the NOLA cemeteries that we didn't know and the history of the Lafayette Cemetery was completely compelling. There were just 3 of us in total so our tour was very personal. We totally enjoyed our tour and suggest you ask for Jacki when you sign up.

Touring with Josh around Lafayette Cemetery and the Garden District was like walking around with a knowledgeable friend. I booked the tour for myself and a friend and we ended up the only two people, so a planned group tour became a private show around the area! Josh was extremely warm, and knew so much about the history of the district and of what personalities make it up now. There was a lot of history on the tour, which I loved, and Josh always told it as part of the story of the area, and not just as facts. He also brought a lot of visuals, like interior pictures of the houses, so you got to see what the inside looked like too. He reminded us in the e-mail before the tour to bring umbrellas - and a good thing, because it rained a little! Still, it didn't dampen the spirit of it at all. We laughed a lot and had a great time. This tour was easily my favorite part of my quick trip to New Orleans. If you go, I highly recommend booking with Josh.

"Walking around with a knowledgeable friend" is EXACTLY what we are trying to accomplish at Lucky Bean Tours, and Josh is the guy who really knows how to do it! He really knows the city and has such an easygoing, humorous way of explaining our history and culture. Plus, he always finds ways to make the tour more comfortable, from finding shady spots to reminders about umbrellas to checking to see if anyone needs a break. We know that you are on vacation and we want you to relax and have fun! Thank you so much for touring and for taking the time to write such a great review! Libby

Our family of four all enjoyed this fascinating and beautiful tour with guide Jackie. She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating – down to having an extra umbrella to offer us when the sky opened up toward the tail end of our tour! Even our 16 and 20yo kids found it fun and interesting – keep up the wonderful work!

Thanks for the great review! I am so glad you were able to tour the lovely Garden District with the knowledgeable and funny Jackie. She knows so much about the area and she is such a good storyteller. I am impressed that you braved the weather predictions and forged ahead with your plans to tour. A New Orleans thundershower is a brief but dramatic event! Thank you for including us in your family trip and taking the time to review. See y'all next time!
