Breathtaking, heartbreaking, beautiful, and full of stories! The cemetery is closed to the public, but you'll get a good look through the large gates while your guide explains our unique interment practices.

James did a wonderful job giving us a tour! He added humor along with the history. My husband wasn't exactly jumping at the chance to go on this tour, and he even enjoyed it. I definitely recommend it.

Interesting tour. Started at a convenient bakery. James discussed architectural design and history of the buildings as well as interesting facts on how the burial vaults work. That information was not what I would have guessed. We took a walk on magazine street then had dinner at commander's palace which is across the street from the cemetery.
