New Orleans Holiday Bus Tour: Jingling Through the Crescent

Overview
Give yourself a holiday treat with a fully narrated motor coach tour of New Orleans! You’ll pass the famous French Quarter and learn the history of Jackson Square, home to the Cabildo and Presbytere Museums.

Travel through historic neighborhoods such as Treme & Faubourg Marigny and down beautiful Esplanade Avenue.

Marvel at stories of voodoo and piracy on Bayou St. John, the waterway used by Jean Lafitte and his band of pirates, as we make our way to City Park, one of the ten largest urban parks in America, which features the largest stand of mature live oaks in the world.

Follow the path of our historic streetcars along Carrollton and St. Charles Avenues past Tulane and Loyola Universities across from Audubon Park, stately mansions of former kings and queens of Mardi Gras, and the exclusive Garden District.

You’ll also enjoy a walk through the lobby of the beautifully restored Roosevelt Hotel, exquisitely decorated for the holidays!

Rather disappointing. Our tour left 20+ minutes late but to our driver having to take a random drug screening prior to our departure. The test was negative but caused quite a delay. Due to the parade being on the day of the tour we were advised after we were on the bus that we would be following a different itinerary. We spend a bit of time circling the same area under the freeway. Our narrator was very good and the historical information shared was good. Our trip ended near the casino due to the parade and we had to walk to the Roosevelt Hotel to see the holiday decorations.

I was actually rather disappointed by this tour. We had done the standard City Tour with Gray Line on our first visit to New Orleans, and chose this one because it was promoted as having a more holiday slant to it. We thought that meant it would have some holiday trivia and sights, but really the only holiday item was the final stop at the Roosevelt Hotel to see the amazing decorations, and we were given only five minutes.
