Oh! Our group of five spent a day with Dominick. We handed him our hope to see plantations and a warning that we would have two 12 year-old with us. We left all details up to him. I'm ready to hand him all my money and let him organize my life.
Casually communicative with a wealth of knowledge, we were at ease immediately. He talked Yugioh with the kids AND had them fascinated with the industry and sociology of the sugar plantations. He had stories of people and places throughout time, and a love of Louisiana history. Obviously, too, he has created good relationships with the employees and volunteers everywhere we went. Altogether, we felt cared for, treated, and brought into his world rather than being part of an tour group looking in from the outside.
Rather than a canned tour on a tight timeline we were blessed with a day of slowing down, absorbing so much new information, being showing the rough and the beautiful. We walked away feeling like favorite family. Best advice: slow down, chew your food, enjoy the ride. For all the depth and care Dominick provides, your dollar couldn't go farther. Just go on, give him your time and your money. He'll be my FIRST call fo my next trip to New Orleans.

You all were fun to be with and I hope New Orleans had its best face on for you. And it was kind of you to notice that we have good working relationships all over the region and those relationships help us serve visitors. Hopefully too you learned something about our history and have a new appreciation for New Orleans in general. I hope to see you again. Thanks,
Dominick
