Lafitte’s Blacksmith shop is one of the oldest buildings in the French Quarter. The story goes, this shop survived the fires of 1788 and 179_ because it was, in fact, a blacksmith shop, and so structurally it was built to withstand large amounts of heat.

Back on Royal Street we are going to sightsee a very special building. If you’ve seen American Horror Story you are probably familiar with Madame Delphine Lalaurie

French Market

Spanning 6 blocks, The French Market began where Cafe Du Monde stands currently - which is the direction we will be heading. Here you can find a variety of local foods, from beignets, to crawfish, local produce, alligator bites - you name it.

Lalaurie Mansion

The LaLaurie Mansion is widely considered one of the most haunted houses in New Orleans' French Quarter.

We got a fantastic time with Brett. Super knowledgeable guy, very friendly and professional. He also knows a lot about the architecture of downtown which is fascinating to hear. He took us to great and very interesting places. The tour was worthy every penny and we strongly recommend Brett if you are visiting NOLA. He went above and beyond of our expectations and he even recommended to us great restaurants, bars and places to our taste. Thanks so much Brett - you did a wonderful job!!!

We started our New Orleans visit with this tour, and we really nailed it with this pick! This tour is perfect for orientation of the rest of stay. We got insights on the different districts and the vibe their, info about transportation mode, and suggestions where to eat and go. Recommend to book this for your first day!
