As your carriage departs from Jackson Square, your driver/guide will regale you with stories of the city's founding as the carriage passes through the historic French Quarter street.

October 10th evening....relaxing, a little dark and spooky and we clip-clopped through some of the streets of the French Quarter with (I believe) Amy and her faithful super mule (who disliked spooky leaves). We got some great history which helped give us some names and times of people who became part of the New Orleans historic fabric. Lots of intriguing stories. This carriage tour is great for those who are able to get up into carriage and may not be up for the walking tour riggor. They are very accomodating. We had a fellow carriage rider who had a walking cast on, for which they kindly accomadated. She was thrilled. The driver was awesome. Enjoyed her very much. This might be a bit much for youngsters, unless they can sit for some time. Of course they could stand in the carriage and look around. Still better than walking tour.

Our night carriage ride was great. It was pouring down rain, but they still took us on the tour. The rain just enhanced the spookiness of the tour. Got to see most of the French Quarter and learn some really scary stories of the past. I would recommend this tour!

Enjoyed our night carriage tour. Our driver was friendly and very good to her mule Frieda. Gave a some history of the area and some of the haunts. A great way to begin our week in NOLA.
