What To Expect
1
Jackson Square
This authentic mode of transportation will help you time-travel back to the 1700s and 1800s when death and disease were rampant due to devastating fires, floods, murders, and more! Being that there are only 8-passengers on-board the carriage, the mule-drawn adventure is more intimate and unforgettable. The carriage-driving tour guides are top-rated licensed guides who have been sending chills down spines for over 75 years. Meet and board at the carriage stand located at 700 Decatur Street. As your carriage departs from Jackson Square, your driver/guide will regale you with stories of the city's founding as the carriage passes through the historic French Quarter street.

French Quarter
Travel past landmarks such as Saint Louis Cathedral, Jackson Square, Napoleon House, and more as the carriage wind through New Orleans' oldest neighborhood, the French Quarter. Expect stories that are both historical, entertaining and appropriate for all visitors. It's important to understand the history so that you can understand the spirits that haunt the buildings. New Orleans is considered to be the most haunted city in America. Countless tragedies have happened right in the French Quarter, including devastating floods and fires killing thousands, contagious epidemics resulting in thousands of deaths, and other odd occurrences like weird human torture experiments, medical experiments, love lost, and more. These stories have been documented in police records and history books, and some can be quite alarming! You'll learn about the stories, then about how the "spirits" are letting people know that they are still very present! Do you have goosebumps yet?
3
St. Louis Cathedral
View St. Louis Cathedral, the famous landmark and oldest continuously active cathedral in the U.S.
4
Lalaurie Mansion
Are you a fan of American Horror Story? If so, you will absolutely see the infamous LaLaurie Murder Mansion, and discover how the true story told on TV is both similar and different from what actually happened inside this house of horrors.

This tour was very good and exciting and comfortable. James and his mule Pearl were a great team, navigating the narrow streets full of cars and people. James was an outstanding and engaging guide and history narrator, making the trip both informative and fun. I strongly recommend this tour to anyone.

James and Pearl are awesome!! We're so happy to hear that you agree. Thanks, JamesD3360, for touring with us. We appreciate the review and hope that the rest of your stay in NOLA was amazing as well.

This was the biggest disappointment of my NOLA trip. I wasn't expecting to be terrified but the stories told were nothing scary and were actually stories I had heard before. Our guide kept getting off track and it was hard to hear from the back. There was a lot of discussion about buildings and history which I appreciated but heard on other torus with that focus- this is supposed to be a ghost tour- that's what we want to hear. Our guide also spent a lot of time talking about his personal life. Super nice guy- I would invite him over for coffee but when it comes to tours I want a storyteller. There is lots of haunted tours out there do your research and level set expectations. THis wasn't a bad trip just not what I wanted,

"I personally apologize for not meeting your History and Haunts expectations. In retrospect, there are some improvements that could be made on my tours as there will be a definite overhaul of my tour content. Your feedback humbly resonates volumes to me professionally as my tours will only get better from this point." KJ

Our guide was absolutely amazing but it was totally not what I expected. I thought it was going to be more ghost hunting and that we would go into cemeteries but it was not. The tour is of the city and the guide tells plenty of stories.

Thanks so much for touring with us, Ellen P. We're happy to hear that you liked the tour and that the guide was amazing. Sometimes we are not allowed into cemeteries due to time constraints (closings) but we do make the best out of it on those occasions with our stories.
