This is a scenic trip down the Mississippi with wonderful narration. We enjoyed listening to the narrator point out significant things and share pieces of New Orleans history as we cruised by various locations. However, this cruise offers unlimited purchase of alcohol which leads to alot of rowdy behavior. This made us very uncomfortable with our young children watching this type of behavior. Perhaps the first cruise of the day would not have been so alcohol fueled, but the 2:30 pm sailing definitely was. If you have small children, you may want to consider the earliest possible sailing to try to avoid being on a boat with people who have been drinking throughout the day and then drink even more on the cruise. I personally think the cruise should be cutting off people who are clearly drunk from being purchasing more alcohol, but since that will likely not happen, an earlier cruise may help to avoid some of the behavior that we witnessed.

We apologize if you found some of the other guests too boisterous around your children. Our bartenders carry safe serve certificates and attempt in all cases to avoid guests being "over-served". Our marine crew keeps that in mind when walking the decks. We take obvious intoxication seriously on our vessel and apologize if guests were distributive, either due to alcohol or general demeaner. We welcome families aboard regularly and strive to keep a welcoming and safe environment.
