Our private tour with Diogo was very special! He was very educated about the history of Evora and this area. Diogo certainly added his personal touch by taking us to eat at a fabulous local restaurant where the food was delicious and the owner was quite entertaining as well! Diogo went above and beyond expectations of our tour. He was patient and so kind. We even were able to visit a cork factory and learned the entire processing of cork. It was cool! Evora was amazing! I would definitely return if given the opportunity!

I'll start with the key piece of information you need: Book with Luciana! She will go out of her way to make sure you and yours have the best experience. As for my personal experience....nothing about our orignial bookings went right. We originally had 2 bookings with Luciana. But, the first booking had to be cancelled due to one of our group being stuck in Belgium on a missed layover. Even though this first booking was pulled past the cancellation deadline, Luciana did not charge us any fees. I was so relieved, but the next morning when we were scheduled for another booking, it torrentially rained for the exact span of time that we were supposed to meet with Luciana. Luciana texted me and made sure to note that she'd pull the second booking with no fees if we wanted to do so. However, I felt bad by that point and we were able to work out a new tour to run the following day. I'm so glad we were able to reschedule. As soon as Luciana arrived at our meeting location, she was hard at work greeting everyone and putting smiles on our faces with her charming demeanor. This was no small feat for our family of 9 + 1 toddler. Once introductions and tour explanations were out of the way, we went right to our first food tasting location. While we were all eating, she explained what we were eating, some trivia about the food and restaurant, and why the food was important to her. I found that refreshing because some guides seem robotic in their explanations, but Luciana was able to tell a meaningful story for every tasting. Apart from the stories and good food, she was able to shift our tour route to perfectly land us right back in front of our AirB&B, instead of at a pre-selected meeting spot. This was greatly appreciated because my parents are close to 70 now and do not handle the hills very well anymore. She took all this into account and gave us one of the better tours of our trip. If you want informative and personal stories about Lisbon, book confidently with Luciana!

Henrique was wonderfully attentive and kind showing us around. He is very knowledgeable and thoughtful making our very short few hours in Lisbon a lasting memory. He was someone you just want to hang out with, a quiet old soul that you want to listen closely when he talk because his words, lessons and knowledge are worth it. He clued us into to a lot of the culture, history and art of Lisbon while making us feel like we just met up with a friend for a chat. In all, he is the perfect guide when just another cookie-cutter tour is not enough. Lisbon is a place we are already longing to return to, and will surely want to see more of, thanks to Henrique!
