I'll start with the key piece of information you need: Book with Luciana! She will go out of her way to make sure you and yours have the best experience.
As for my personal experience....nothing about our orignial bookings went right. We originally had 2 bookings with Luciana. But, the first booking had to be cancelled due to one of our group being stuck in Belgium on a missed layover. Even though this first booking was pulled past the cancellation deadline, Luciana did not charge us any fees. I was so relieved, but the next morning when we were scheduled for another booking, it torrentially rained for the exact span of time that we were supposed to meet with Luciana. Luciana texted me and made sure to note that she'd pull the second booking with no fees if we wanted to do so. However, I felt bad by that point and we were able to work out a new tour to run the following day.
I'm so glad we were able to reschedule. As soon as Luciana arrived at our meeting location, she was hard at work greeting everyone and putting smiles on our faces with her charming demeanor. This was no small feat for our family of 9 + 1 toddler. Once introductions and tour explanations were out of the way, we went right to our first food tasting location. While we were all eating, she explained what we were eating, some trivia about the food and restaurant, and why the food was important to her. I found that refreshing because some guides seem robotic in their explanations, but Luciana was able to tell a meaningful story for every tasting. Apart from the stories and good food, she was able to shift our tour route to perfectly land us right back in front of our AirB&B, instead of at a pre-selected meeting spot. This was greatly appreciated because my parents are close to 70 now and do not handle the hills very well anymore. She took all this into account and gave us one of the better tours of our trip.
If you want informative and personal stories about Lisbon, book confidently with Luciana!
