My husband and I took the Hamilton/ Washington tour the afternoon before we were to see the play. My big fear re Hamilton was missing a lot of the rap lyrics. So to prepare we listened to the whole play with lyrics. That allowed us to understand the words and to anticipate the events of the play.. I thought the tour might reinforce the story for us. Instead, In 3 hours, Bruce gave us a masters class in American revolutionary history. It was a complete game changer. The show had a context and a depth for us it would never have had otherwise. Beyond how this particular tour enhanced our experience, Bruce is one of the most enthusiastic, well spoken , knowledgeable guides we have ever had. He is so dedicated that he not only sends material after the tour, but my husband had a question he could not answer, so he researched it and sent that information to the group as well. I did not take this tour that seriously when I booked it. We do a lot of private and small group tours, This was about 20 people. But it felt completely intimate and Bruce answered every question. I like headphones. Bruce doesn't use them. But even with jackhammers in the background, no matter where I was standing, I heard EVERY word. He is that clear and able to project. We are history buffs and look for academics who also guide, Bruce is a professional tour guide. But he is as expert on this topic as any history professor. He has clearly read extensively. We cannot wait to take our next tour with Bruce.

Thank you so much for your feedback on the Hamilton & Washington tour. I am very glad that the tour enhanced your experience of seeing the "Hamilton" musical. For the people who have seen it already or are going to see it, since the narrative of the tour follows the storyline of the musical, I hope the tour makes the history clearer and gives additional context. Thank you for your kind words. I hope to see you again on another tour. Bruce

My husband and I had a great tour. Bruce is so knowledgeable about Hamilton, Washington, and their lives, beliefs and personal standards. I enjoyed how he wove together the historical events with the Hamilton biography and the play. He shared historical pictures about the buildings we were standing in front of and walking through. It was a great tour, I highly recommend this tour!

This was easily one of the best tours we have ever done! If you are a fan of the musical Hamilton, or even just a history buff, you will love this tour. Our tour guide, Bruce, was fantastic! He had so much enthusiasm for the subject, not to mention knowledge, that it was really infectious! We enjoyed the walk around lower Manhattan and learning so much about the relationship between Hamilton and Washington, and what was going on in NYC during the revolution. I highly recommend this tour!!

I REALLY appreciate the time you took to write the review and the recommendation. Yes, fans of the musical appreciate the tour as do history buffs, as do people who don't know much about this history. I hope to see you on another tour soon. Thank you, Bruce
