We had Bruce as our guide who came with ample knowledge, supporting documents and a true passion of the NY impact during RevolutionaryWar. Interestingly enough, Boston and Philadelphia have preserved much in terms of buildings/sights from the 1700s, while NYC has just a few plaques that on might stumble upon. This is where a guide, such as Bruce, brings so much value in bringing the rich history of south Manhattan to life. As noted in title, the bulk of tour revolves around both Hamilton and Washington. While I had to cut out 2/3 through trip to catch flight, I highly recommend! Only advice is to be mindful of weather as I’m glad that I brought umbrella.

This was a birthday presents and it was one of the best that I've ever received. I always say Hamilton is the best musical I'll never see...price and all...so if you are a fan and listen to the soundtrack, read Chernow or in general love history...THIS IS YOUR TOUR!!! Bruce was funny, logical and most of all passionate about conveying the truth and facts about the birth of our nation. It is amazing to see all the places people walk by every day and don't realize the historical signifigance of the ground upon which they walk. Bruce reminds us all to reflect and remember. We will definitely being going on another tour with him and encourage anyone to take this tour. Thank you Bruce for the surprise gifts at the end. It really made my day!!!

Today, my partner and I were completely delighted with this tour led by Bruce. I had read the quintessential biography of Hamilton by Ron Chernow and attended the Broadway musical, but Bruce managed to enlighten us even further with so many little know facts about both Hamilton and Washington. Bruce, despite the competition of a student band blaring in the background, kept our crowd thoroughly engrossed in his plethora of knowledge. Often he would recite from memory many pertinent and fascinating quotes. His recitation was never dry, and if I must be so self-revealing, he brought me to near tears especially while describing the lead-up to and execution of that infamous duel in which Hamilton lost his life. I also found Hamilton's relationship with Washington rather touching. Bruce shared Hamilton's words on Washington's passing which I found quite poignant. I love historical tours and usually will attend one in any city of the world, but there aren't enough superlatives to describe Bruce's tour. We will make sure to catch both of his other tours, Secret Places of Central Park and The Brooklyn Revolution tours. Thanks so much, Bruce, for a truly fascinating tour.
