Immerse yourself in the dramatic underworld of New York’s gangland on this fascinating insider’s tour of the Mafia, including stops at authentic, historic local joints for delicious Italian food.

We designed this tour with the help of a retired NYPD Detective born and raised in Little Italy. He helped us to create an experience from a true “insider’s perspective” of the East Village NYC mafia stories.
Growing up witnessing some of New York’s famous families and having consulted for TV and major film productions on both crime and law enforcement, has contributed to develop this unique tour.
Our expert tour guides lead this experience in the East Village & Little Italy, following the footsteps of notorious New York Mobsters!
You will visit notorious Mafia and Crime locations, share true crime stories, and eat amazing food from the neighbourhood

What To Expect

New York City

Get the insider's perspective on the infamous Mafia crime families of New York City on this walking tour with two sit-down tastings included, through the vibrant and fascinating gangland area of New York’s East Village and Little Italy.

East Village

We begin the tour in the East Village, where you will learn the complex origins of the Mafia in New York City, and learn the hierarchies within each crime family from the foot soldiers, to the captains and the ‘Boss’. Walk in the footsteps of famed mobsters like Lucky Luciano, Joe ‘the boss’ Masseria, John Gotti – the Teflon Don, “Vinny the Chin” and “Crazy Joe” Gallo, as you hear about their lives, and their crimes.

St. Mark's-in-the-Bowery Church

Explore second avenue's prohibition history as we walk along this famous avenue exploring places most tours miss.

Liz Christy Bowery Houston Community Garden

Hear about this amazing urban garden and its connection to the New York mafia.

Little Italy

Visit local, historic food joints --including the room where the Mafia was formed -- for Italian style dinner tastings, including a "primo" and a "second piatto". Any drinks you wish to have, you may purchase on the day of the tour. End your tour with a delicious ‘dolce’, a cream-filled Sicilian Cannoli at the best pastry shop in town.

Awesome tour, tons of food...don't eat before you go! Great stories and Dennis is a great host. This is not a tour where you get a sample of things...this is full slices of pizza and full plates of eggplant parmesan. And the cannoli at the end tops it all off.

This tour was outstanding! Dennis was so knowledgeable and entertaining to listen to as well. Really interesting to be able to see where many things we had heard about in history actually happened. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York City.

As a mafioso geek, I absolutely loved this tour and my only regret is that I hadn't done this years ago! Not only is Dennis a great human, he knows NYC as he grew up in the same neighborhood of some very bigtime people and remains friends to this day. Fantastic stories, and patient while us tourists snap photos and shop, truly, Dennis is the real deal. I took his recommendation and went back to John's on 12th for dinner, so if you have the time I'd suggest taking his evening tour or alternatively, do the am tour and grab dinner at John's. Dennis, thank you thank you thank you, this made my trip.
