New York Dyker Heights Christmas Lights

Overview
Nothing says Christmas like Dyker Heights, the most famous display of lights on the planet. Locals have been decorating their homes—personally and professionally—since the '80s, making it a true NYC winter wonderland.

THE TOUR WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN or SHINE!

The ride from Midtown to Dyker Heights in Brooklyn is about an hour long on board of our comfortable coach fully heated with a restroom on board.

Your guide will escort you to Lucy Spata's house, the house that started this tradition, and walk you through the most illuminated streets before taking you back to the bus. You will spend about an hour in Dyker Heights strolling around and taking pictures.

The next stop will be at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge in the DUMBO/Brooklyn Heights area of Brooklyn. You will have about 25 minutes to take pictures of the breathtaking Manhattan skyline and the Bridge.

Then you will return to Manhattan via the Manhattan Bridge. The tour ends at the Bryant Park Winter Village.

Yes the lights was nice. But not worth 3.5 hour stuck on smelly coach with a disgusting toilet. Not one refreshment being on board and offered to us. No time to stop for a drink - just being rushed through a neighbourhood. The traffic is always awful in New York so be prepared for an awful time. We regretted it and complained but wasn’t offered any form of compensation…. Pure hell

So happy we booked this tour!! We booked for a Monday and it was perfect! Our whole group got their 30 minutes early so we left early and got to make an extra stop to take pictures of the Statue of Liberty. Frederica was amazing and gave us interesting information about the sites along the way. Jon the driver also got us around safely, couldn’t imagine driving that bus in NYC. There is a bathroom in the bus as well. The bus was also nice and warm! Honestly having done the tour it is worth it to me instead of using the subway to figure it out. We had one hour to look at houses. We could probably have spent many hours but honestly after the hour my husband and I had our fill. We saw lots of beautiful houses and it was not too crowded. My husband and I walked ahead slightly as she let us know where the group would be going so we could spread out a bit and it was perfect. Next we went to dumbo and had 30 minutes to grab some hot chocolate or ice cream and take beautiful pictures of the Brooklyn bridge.
