New York Dyker Heights Christmas Lights

Overview
Nothing says Christmas like Dyker Heights, the most famous display of lights on the planet. Locals have been decorating their homes—personally and professionally—since the '80s, making it a true NYC winter wonderland.

THE TOUR WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN or SHINE!

The ride from Midtown to Dyker Heights in Brooklyn is about an hour long on board of our comfortable coach fully heated with a restroom on board.

Your guide will escort you to Lucy Spata's house, the house that started this tradition, and walk you through the most illuminated streets before taking you back to the bus. You will spend about an hour in Dyker Heights strolling around and taking pictures.

The next stop will be at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge in the DUMBO/Brooklyn Heights area of Brooklyn. You will have about 25 minutes to take pictures of the breathtaking Manhattan skyline and the Bridge.

Then you will return to Manhattan via the Manhattan Bridge. The tour ends at the Bryant Park Winter Village.

I can’t imagine ever seeing more lights in one neighborhood than in Dyker Heights. Amazing displays. Worth your time if you’ve got an extra night in NYC.

The lights were amazing, the houses gorgeous and the tour guide entertaining but the bus driver was a nightmare. The bus was making crazy, sharp turns and he was laying on the horn. It was about 90 degrees with NO air circulating in the bus. On the way home, the music was way too loud. It was ear-splitting. My daughter nicely asked the driver to turn down the music a little bit and he reached over and slammed the power button on the sound system. He turned it completely off and was rude about it. Later, another woman asked him if he could turn on some air due to it being so incredibly hot on the bus. He told her that the A/C didn’t work in the winter...every bus I’ve ever been on had air conditioning in the summer and winter. The tour itself was enjoyable but the bus driver’s rudeness and attitude made it less than a stellar experience.

I am very sorry for the experience with the bus driver. Thank you so much for making us aware of this situation. We are taking steps to deal with it right now!

We were a little disappointed with the tour. The bus we had could of been a little better condition. The bathroom was disgusting. The light should automatically come on. Couldn’t find it. The driver Louis was excellent for first time driving there. Tour guide who was German really knew his facts. But when we got there at 4:45 a lot of lights were not on. We wanted to do the tour with the guide but he had to wait for everyone to use the bathroom. After waiting 15 minutes we just left. He should if started the tour and told them to catch up. But what we saw was beautiful it just could of been a little more organized.

Hi there, I want to apologize for the bathroom situation. That is unacceptable. It's standard for the tour guide to wait for the whole group to start the tour. I understand you got there a little earlier than usual, but we know that by 5 pm all the houses are lit. We really appreciate the feedback. Happy Holidays
