We booked this trip expecting it to be a maximum of 6 passengers. We are a family of four and shared the helicopter with a further 8 people. We received no safety briefing and the staff were not particularly friendly, until it came to purchasing a photo at 40 dollars. The headphones were so poor that you could barely hear the commentary from the pilot. We have since found out that this is because they have removed the batteries from the noise cancelling part of the headphones. Great way to see NY but overall a very disappointing and overpriced experience.

Hi Rachel, We operate a fleet of aircraft that seat 6, 7 and 12 passengers, our aircraft availability can change so we can't confirm which helicopter will be used ahead of time. All passengers are given a safety briefings when they fly with us, sometimes this is a verbal briefing from our ground staff staff or pilot once inside the helicopter. I apologize if this wasn’t clear as safety is a top priority for us. I will pass this feedback on to our Operations Manager to ensure that safety briefings are always clear. I apologize that your headset was quiet during the flight, we do our best to check headsets are working properly but very rarely they do have issues. We do not remove the batteries from the headsets but they can sometimes run low and be less effective. While you can still hear the commentary as you said it is not optimal quality. We highly recommend for all of the our Trip Advisor readers to speak to us about any issues with your experience as soon as you arrive back into the heliport to avoid leaving dissatisfied.

My Deluxe Tour Experience's with HeliNY, you're AMAZING, FANTASTIC and the BEST. Friday 7th June THANK YOU HeliNY for an AMAZING Deluxe Tour. From the moment I arrived to leaving was FAR MORE than my heart could have EVER wished for, you made a million dreams come true for me, THANK YOU. Your whole team are the BEST, my pilot on 7th June was INCREDIBLE and so knowledgable, I LOVED every second of my flight, it was ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. I did another two Deluxe Tours on 2nd and 13th July, each flight was with different pilots that were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING too and each flight with them was AWESOME, THANK YOU. Seeing New York below is incredibly not to mention the views from any direction you look, they are definitely STUPENDOUS and UNFORGETTABLE. Any passenger on the QM2 that sails under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge why not fly over it, and past the ship docked in Brooklyn. HeliNY's Deluxe Tour is the ONLY flight that offer this. I can DEFINITELY recommend the Deluxe Tour or any other that HeliNY offer. They make memories that last forever and DEFINITELY the ULTIMATE must do for anyone visiting NEW YORK.
