I love walking around NYC and I love taking photos, so Iconic NY was the right tour for me. I booked Part 1, which started in Midtown and ended in Central Park. We shot the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and Central Park. Zim is a great guide and instructor with a fun personality, and I really enjoyed myself while also learning. I covered angles, perspective, lighting, motion, and even some flash, We captured buildings, signs, subways, horses, skylines and sunsets, but never squirrels. "No squirrels" is one of the three rules on a NY Photo Safari, and it's a smart one. The other two rules are even better, and I think of them every time I shoot now. But you will have to take a tour to find out what they are. :)

My teenager recently developed a real interest in photography and I booked this safari with the hope that it would engage and inspire him and allow us to spend some time fun together. The experience exceeded my expectations on all levels. Taking photos with a professional photographer their to assist you is an amazing experience. Our photos looked better than I thought possible and we both were really proud of our shots. We spent our time talking about different settings and framings we could try and were lead to one amazing spot after another by our guide. I'm planning of framing some of my shots and my son was quite proud of his Instagram responses. We laughed a lot more thane have recently and went home with our passion for photography ignited! Zim is a real artist and is also personable and easy to be around. She answered every question we asked and never over explained anything or made it boring. I think she is one of the best kept secrets of New York.

Great Experience!! Recently went on the “Iconic NYC Photo Safari (P2)” which included Times Square, the Chrysler building, Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library. Zim, our professional photo guide was awesome. She took the time to show us how to set our cameras based on current lighting conditions, explained the science behind the camera mechanics and was patient in looking at all of our photos providing tips along the way. My buildings are now straight. Highly recommend. Scott
