Took the Iconic P2 tour, and based upon the website description we were expecting to be toured to the locations listed for iconic photos. While we were brought to the locations listed on the website the small group tour was mostly instruction how to use the camera and compose photos and less about taking pictures of the architecture that you might see in a photo album or in a magazine. It's an opportunity to learn more about using your camera and making it a learning experience. I would probably go back again with the understanding of how the tour is structured.

Dear ConnecticutCycleMan, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our website makes it very clear that that our safaris are meant to help participants learn how to take better photos of Manhattan. Our motto is "Turning picture takers into image makers." Unfortunately, when our Safaris are booked through third party websites (like Expedia), we are unable to control the written description of the tour. In the end though,it sound like you had a good time as you say that you would return. And, you also got to go to all the places that you had hoped to see. We'll look forward to seeing you again on safari in the near future! Diane NYC Photo Safari

Zim was outstanding Loved this photo safari of New York, if I had more time I would do all the tours this group offers. Disclaimer, I cannot speak to the other photographers in the company I would go with Zim. She will teach you how to look at things differently to make creative eye catching images. Do not worry about settings on your camera, she will make you shoot in auto. We had a couple on our group who shot images with their phones. Bottom line. Highly recommended

Frank was really helpful and approachable. We started off well taking shots of The Empire State building but then we went to The library and spent half of our time there. I didn't want to do tasks in the building, I wanted to take 'iconic' shots. We didn't make it to Central Park and as it was our last day I never did get the 'skyline shot'. I was really disappointed with the experience. I know people were cold but they should have worn appropriate clothing! We had already done a photo tour in Prague which did what it said on the tin. This one didn't.

Dear Participant, Thank you for the feedback, I'm sorry to hear that the safari did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately the weather was exceptionally cold that day, dipping below freezing. By the time we had completed 4 of the 5 sites listed for this session several attendees expressed that they were very uncomfortable in the cold so I asked if it was OK to deviate from the plan and head indoors. The only response I got from the group was agreement, no one voiced an objection so we diverted to the NY Public Library. This is one of the most beautiful and iconic buildings in the city and is part of our other safaris, so I hoped that it would be an acceptable substitute for the skyline shot that we missed because of the cold. The feedback I received from the attendees at the time was positive so I had no idea that this was not acceptable for you. I wish you had said something at the time, I would have had made the effort to get you the skyline shot even if it meant taking you there solo after the regular tour had ended. Myself and all of my colleagues do try to keep the advertised itinerary, but sometimes there are disruptions (weather, city events, etc.) and we have to improvise as best we can. In the future, please let me or any of my colleagues know if there is something that you would like and we will try to accommodate you the best we can. Thank you, Frank
