My hysband and i purchased 5-day passes while on vacation in New York. The pass indeed offers a variety of things and in most cases a fast lane is offered as well but, its hardly ever possible to do even half of what its offered (or at the end you end up doing things that was not your priority just to "justify" the amount you paid for the pass!) But the number one disadvantage of this pass is the misleading website and app. The timetables for the busses, the opening hours of the museums or other tours are not updated and the display is confusing. In addition to that, the call help centre is not helpful at all and the visitors centres are hard to find! We called several times asking about timetables or where to redeem tickets but the communication was bad and the answers where insufficient or even wrong. These cost us valuable hours of our holidays; we were wondering around doing nothing worthy. For example we were trying to get the hop on hop off bus to the night tour which according to the app was ending at 11pm. The lady on the phone confirmed but when we made it to the bus stop at around 7.30pm (which we founded by accident, there was nothing there indicating that it was a hop on hop off stop) we found out that the last bus of the night tour left at 7.00pm! Similar thing happened with the ferry tour to the statue of liberty. After several hours walking around trying to figure out the timetables and where should we redeem our tickets we barely made it to get the last boat to the statue. In general, the pass would have been very useful if it was better coordinated and updated, had more well trained staff at the call center and staff in the streets helping the tourists and signs indicating important points for the pass users!

The key to this pass is to plan. We did a ton of planning but did not know how long it would actually take for each attraction. Some attractions we spent more time waiting in line rather than doing the attraction. The key is to know when to go. Here is my feedback from our trip on a 4 day pass (2 kids & 2 adults). These are just the attractions that we used our pass for. Day 1 was supposed to be Saturday but due to flight delays our day started off late and when we went to do some attractions the wait was ridiculous and another closed early. Check directly with attractions for updated times especially in the winter. Day 1 (adjusted) - We did so much on day 1 that the pass paid for it's self, if we did all on our own the cost would have been $754. - Top of the Rock - Go first thing in the morning. No wait & very few tourists. - Radio City Stage Door Tour - So much fun!! Do these together they are right there and both iconic NYC - Bucca Times Square for lunch - $15 credit per pass (TOTALLY WORTH IT) - The Chocolate Museum Jaques Torres - You can skip, it was not that interesting - One World Observatory - MUST GO!! Best time to go is mid to late afternoon. Crowds are mild. - THE RIDE - You must book ahead of time & I recommend one of the last tours of the night. Was so much fun!! Day 2 (much slower day on the pass wish we had time to add more but due to sleepy kids we were off today) - Spyscape - This was a great experience plan on a day when you want to slow down and get out of the elements. Day 3 (This took way to long) - Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island - Plan nothing else on this day. I recommend not using the pass for this activity since you will use at least half your day just trying to get on the ferry. - Wollman Rink - WASTE OF TIME. We tried to go 3 times and when we finally got passes they closed early that day and we missed it. Horrible!! Day 4 (departure day)- Since we really lost day 1 we made lemons into lemonade and decided to book a shuttle back to the airport with our last day. Saved us the $60 taxi ride - Go Airlink Shuttle - Horrible. The customer service is lacking, the driver was gruff, the van heater apparently did not work or the driver did not care that we were frozen, driver played music to loud, ugh!! Was not fun. Things we wanted to do but just did not get the time (also not interesting to the kids): - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - The Guggenheim - Museum of Modern Art - Harbor Cruise Things closed in the winter - All the food tours!! Bummer Things I wish the pass had - Skate Rental at Bryant Park Rink - Metro Pass options - buying metro passes is a pain in the butt!! - Skip the line upgrade for some attractions like Statue of Liberty - Food options Downtown Great things about the pass - USE THE APP!! Was great to see what was nearby, used the QR code on the shuttle because the driver could not scan the cards. Was a great tool for us. Total attraction costs $1070 but we could have done more. We paid less than $700 with the winter special on the kids passes. So I think we got a good deal.

Hi Geri Z, The sightseeing pass is indeed a great way to see the city if one has enough time, but there never is with all the sites to experience. I am glad you made it work for you. I apologize for the bad experience with the Go Airlink shuttle service. I will forward your suggestions for the pass to the appropriate department for review. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

We jumped on the downtown tour on our last day in New York and had the best tour ever. Phylis was amazing so funny and informative she made it a really personal tour. My son even said it was his best tour ever and weā€™ve done sight seeing tours all over.
