For ages 5 and up, this approx 3-hour tour is our 90 minute narrated overview Newport Mansions Trolley Tour PLUS a 90-minute tour ticket for admission inside the Vanderbilt Breaker's Mansion (total approx 3 hrs).

After boarding our luxurious and comfortable trolley at Bus Platform #2 of the Newport Transit Center, your driver starts the tour with a brief history of Colonial-era downtown and explains the Gilded Era history and events that occurred over the centuries. Then you will experience breath-taking views of scenic Ocean Drive prior to seeing the strip of mansions lining Bellevue Ave. Along the route, movie and TV sets will come to life, such as HBOs The Gilded Age, Hocus Pocus 2, the Great Gatsby, Amistad, True Lies, and a dozen more.

The duration of this tour is 160-180 minutes, depending on traffic conditions
This tour departs promptly at scheduled time. We cannot hold the trolley for stragglers. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to departure. We may sell the seats of passengers who are not on time to others who are waiting on standby
There are no refunds to passengers who arrive late and miss the tour
Please bring earbuds or headphones to hear the Breakers audio tour through your phone
Please do not meet directly at the Breakers mansion. You will visit the attraction during the trolley tour
Youth under 17 must be accompanied by an adult
Our drivers have updated manifests on their smart phones. Cancelled tickets are not accepted for admission
The trolley is not handicapped accessible.. Driver may assign seating based on customer's physical needs
Management at the Breakers Mansion no longer allows curbside drop off and pickup. All passengers are discharged and picked up in the bus lot at the mansion. Visitors will have a walking requirement about 700 feet from the drop off point to the front door of the mansion.
There are no longer any covid restrictions. All seats and rows are utilized and face coverings are not required

The tour was very well executed and my husband and I were very impressed with the Covid-19 precautions they took. We opted not to return on the trolley and did a little walking tour in areas that we have not explored before. However we liked and appreciated the Tours itinerary.

Had a great time in the tour. The guide was knowledgeable, funny, respectful and so helpful with recommendations on where to eat sight see shop etc. Trolley was very clean and safe social distancing. Will be returning with my parents soon. I recommend it because it shows you a lot of the area in short time and then we know where to return .

This tour was just what we were looking for... An informational tour and something that wasn’t overly crowded. The length of the tour was just right and it was a great value, as you get a guided trolley tour and you get entrance into The Breakers. Troy was our guide - he was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave tips on dining and showed us some scenic spots for us to explore on our own later. He was always on time, the trolley was clean, and we were adequately spread out (for COVID purposes). The Breakers was also a site to see. Recommend downloading the app/bringing your own headphones for a self guided tour. The interior doesn’t really offer much information on what you’re viewing (no informational signs). The only bummer for us was my husband, who is just over 6’3”, was a bit uncomfortable in trolley (not a lot of leg room). Otherwise, we had a great afternoon! Highly recommend.
