For ages 5 and up, this approx 3-hour tour is our 90 minute narrated overview Newport Mansions Trolley Tour PLUS a 90-minute tour ticket for admission inside the Vanderbilt Breaker's Mansion (total approx 3 hrs).

After boarding our luxurious and comfortable trolley at Bus Platform #2 of the Newport Transit Center, your driver starts the tour with a brief history of Colonial-era downtown and explains the Gilded Era history and events that occurred over the centuries. Then you will experience breath-taking views of scenic Ocean Drive prior to seeing the strip of mansions lining Bellevue Ave. Along the route, movie and TV sets will come to life, such as HBOs The Gilded Age, Hocus Pocus 2, the Great Gatsby, Amistad, True Lies, and a dozen more.

Public parking is available at the Transit Center. Fees for parking May 1 to Oct 31
The duration of this tour is 160-180 minutes, depending on traffic conditions
This tour departs promptly at scheduled time. We cannot hold the trolley for stragglers. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to departure. We may sell the seats of passengers who are not on time to others who are waiting on standby
There are no refunds to passengers who arrive late and miss the tour
Please bring earbuds or headphones to hear the Breakers audio tour through your phone
Please do not meet directly at the Breakers mansion. You will visit the attraction during the trolley tour
Youth under 17 must be accompanied by an adult
Our drivers have updated manifests on their smart phones. Cancelled tickets are not accepted for admission
The trolley is not handicapped accessible.. Driver may assign seating based on customer's physical needs
Management at the Breakers Mansion no longer allows curbside drop off and pickup. All passengers are discharged and picked up in the bus lot at the mansion. Visitors will have a walking requirement about 700 feet from the drop off point to the front door of the mansion.
There are no longer any covid restrictions. All seats and rows are utilized and face coverings are not required

When on this tour with very low expectations...the tour guys Russ ( or Ross ) was exceptional. Very well done. He talked basically non stop for the entire tour. Very informative with a very dry sense of humor. The tour cover everything we expected and more, plus we got plenty of good tips on how to have a better time in Newport in regards to sightseeing, shopping and dining. Money well spent.

We booked the 1130 pm trolley. Royal Caribbean on oct 10th had major back up due to us customs…just came from Canada. They had five officers but one us customs individual to check passports for over 2700 y Royal guests. As result of delays…we got off royal at 1230 pm and missed the 1130 trolley. We called operators when still on royal, explained delay issue…no help..no refunds. Suggestion…book 100 pm trolley and maybe you’ll make trolley time. Thsies who booked similar trolley tors via royal Caribbean…got off ship early and made their trolley tour
