First off, our Guide, Leah, was amazing. Not only her knowledge of food and culture, but of the history of Newport and its peoples. Covering but a mile or so, the tour was both filling and fulfilling. Great eats at every stop, plus a smattering of local lore. If you like to explore, and finish the afternoon on a full stomach, this food tour is the way to go. You won't leave hungry to be sure. You may even return to one or more of the six restaurants for a full meal. The "samplings" were just that good. Thank you, Leah, for a fantastic afternoon!

My wife and I did this food tour during our weekend in Newport (Sat, Nov 3rd) and had a great time. Our fabulous guide, Leah was very good. She not only took us to good/hidden food spots (margaritas & ribs at Perro Salado were the best), Leah also shared a great deal of knowledge about Newport History during our tour. If you have time, take advantage of this 3hr adventure.

This was an enjoyable small group compact walking food tour with Sara. We tasted dishes from hot dogs (accompanied by the best fries I've ever had) to sweet and spicy spareribs and we tasted drinks from sparkling rose to mango margaritas. If you're on a cruise ship and in Newport for just a day, a very pleasant, informative, and tasty visit would include a trolly tour in the morning and this food tour in the afternoon as both start and end just a short walk from the ship.
