In Newport for the day to mark the last state of all 50 to visit. We were all very excited with how beautiful, scenic and historic Newport is. We had no idea of the important and historical things that took place here until taking the Viking Tour. The 90 minute tour was $25 for adults and $15 for kids. You can also take the local bus to see the same things although with narration for a $6 day pass. Jim was our driver and was frwindy and knowledgeable about everything we saw. We weren't planning to get out and see anything but decided to get out at the Breakers to look around. After enquiring about the enternace fee ($28) it didn't seem like a good deal to do with smaller kids that weren't interested. Walked around and enjoyed the Cliff Walk that spans the coast between the mansions and the water and is free. We would like to visit again and spend a few days.

There is nothing like touring the city with someone who knows the ins and outs. Our guide, Bob, was just great. He talked about the history, people, and development of the area. He pointed out the areas that are a must see. It was just the way to start our touring.

We jumped on this tour when we arrived in Newport. What a great introduction to this amazing town. You get to see Jackie Kennedy's childhood home and the amazing Bellevue Avenue mansions. The bus driver had an informative narrative. I highly recommend this tour!
