What To Expect

The Breakers

Tour includes Admission to ONE of the following Newport Mansions: The Breakers, The Marble House, or Rosecliff. The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. *As of January 3, 2022 all Preservation Society of Newport Mansions are requiring proof of vaccines for all children aged 5 and up. As of January 15, 2022 all adults must also show proof of their Booster Vaccines. This policy is No Exceptions!

Dominic was an awesome tour driver. His navigation/narration was excellent. Told us interesting history about Newport, pointed out many landmarks and what made them interesting and was very knowledgeable about the “cottages”/mansions. I particularly appreciated that he asked all passengers to keep their voices down and at a minimum so others could hear well. I have compromised hearing and thought this was awesome. He took us to The Breakers and told us exactly what time to return and where he’d be waiting for us. We highly recommend this tour, felt it was well worth $45. We did it at the beginning of our vacation and felt we got a good understanding of the layout of the city and the history behind it. Thank you, Dominic!

Around every turn there were beautiful sights. The ocean, mansions, trees and plants, history—- this tour had it all. Tour guide Ray was so knowledgeable.
