The Breakers

Tour includes Admission to ONE of the following Newport Mansions: The Breakers, The Marble House, or Rosecliff. The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. *As of January 3, 2022 all Preservation Society of Newport Mansions are requiring proof of vaccines for all children aged 5 and up. As of January 15, 2022 all adults must also show proof of their Booster Vaccines. This policy is No Exceptions!

The tour guide, Dominic, presented guests with an interesting and informative historical overview of the city. The drive down Bellevue and Ocean Avenues provided spectacular ocean views and was certainly one of the highlights of the tour. The self guided Breakers mansion tour was over the top terrific. The mansion was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Hats off to Dominick and Viking for providing us with this memorable experience.

The driver did an excellent job explaining the history of the region and the many cottages we passed along the tour. We were welcomed into the Breakers mansion by friendly staff. There were 19 of us traveling together for a family reunion during the Thanksgiving week. This tour was a highlight of our trip!
