Tom and Susan were both wonderful. The care is in the details and they thought of everything. Perfect blend of walking, a little history and some really great food. I will be coming back for their Winter Stroll!

We have been on many food tours in other cities. On this one, the food was good, and the tour was below average. All the food was excellent quality, but not particularly remarkable, except the award winning pizza. We didn’t learn much about the restaurants, Newport food or what might be special in the food scene there. For example, it would have been nice to hear about regional award winning beers at the pub. It certainly was not a tour for foodies. We did learn about Newport history and the community, but much less than is typical for good tours in other cities. The tour guide could have used more (perhaps half) of the time we were sitting and eating to share more, and we would have enjoyed more tidbits of information during the walk. The sequence of restaurants and walking was strange, particularly that we walked most of the length of Thames street two whole times. We appreciated the walk up to the estate gardens by Belmont Ave, but we felt we could have visited the restaurants farther down Thames before the estate and finished near the start with gelatos rather than doing a big loop and then retracing our steps well down Thames again. Overall, this was not special or remarkable as it could have been.

Hi David, Thank you for your review, we appreciate your view as we work very hard to insure that our guests have an enjoyable afternoon. Our tour is off the beaten path. We have included a variety of restaurants that are outstanding within the area. Most of our tour is in neighborhoods and not in the heavily trafficked area. Our guests are chatting and interacting during their meal, therefore we are not comfortable interrupting this social time but make ourselves available if anyone has any questions. We have taken many food tours as well and we are confident that we offer our guests an outstanding afternoon.

The area is beautiful and our guide was very knowledgeable. Our food stops were all really good and we left very full. If you’re a foodie, it’s a must do!!
