Tom was fantastic. the food was superb. The chicken dinner with sage garlic honey drizzle was just. just.... awesome. The biscuits were so good we brought some home for breakfast. I could tell that Tom had chosen each food location with care and attention to quality. The history was so fun and we got such a good lay of the land for the things we wanted to do for the rest of the weekend. Do this tour first!

We had an excellent experience with Susan, our guide. She was knowledgeable and prepared, and took great care of us. We enjoyed the detailed facts about the history of Newport, as well as the backgrounds of the chefs at our various stops.

Tom gave my husband and I plus 3 other couples the food tour. The history of Newport, the gilded age, the Irish 5th district etc was very informative. The food ranged from clam chowder, to beef slider, to full lunch of fried chicken and 2 sides plus homemade biscuits, ice cream and last stop for a cocktail. We were plenty satisfied by the end. The fried chix and biscuit were the best I've ever had. We made quick friends with the other 3 couples and had laughs and a good time all around. We even bumped into Jay Leno on the street and he suggested the chicken place to us as well! We would never have ventured into the Irish 5th district if not for Tom. Tom was a great host, didn't rush us at all and it was a great tour. Thank you Tom. Donna and Eric NH
