What To Expect
1
Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park
1. Breathtaking Sightseeing—With her 4,000’ cliffs, cascading waterfalls, emerald-green valleys and secluded beaches, the Napali Coast is an absolute must-do on any Kauai vacation. And while most tours stop there, this adventure continues on to Lehua Crater (a Hawaii State Wildlife Sanctuary) and the mysterious Ni’ihau Island.
2
Niihau - The Forbidden Island
2. Excellent Snorkeling and Wildlife Viewing— The snorkeling conditions around Lehua Crater and Niihau are some of the clearest and most prolific in all of Hawaii. Going offshore to Lehua and Niihau, we increase our chances of seeing more elusive ocean species such as pilot whales and rough-toothed dolphins in addition to the spinner dolphins, green sea turtles and humpback whales (seasonally, December-April) that frequent the waters of Kauai.
3
Kauai
Satisfying Food and Beverage Service—The meals we serve are colorful, delicious, and prepared fresh every morning using whole ingredients. In the beverage department, you’ll be offered water, coffee, juices, soft drinks and a creative selection of craft beer, wine, and hard seltzers.
4
Polihale State Park
Get a Sense of the Cultural History—Kauai’s Napali Coast is uninhabited today but was once home to thousands of people and to this day, there’s a private colony of Hawaiian people living on Niihau! We’ll share the history, legends, and stories of these lands and their people, leaving you with a deeper understanding and appreciation for Kauai and Ni’ihau Islands.

Well coordinated, the tour itself was beautiful. The locations that the captain and crew took us was breathtaking. The snorkeling was good we swam with monk seals saw a multitude of trigger fish, angel fish, sea turtles, spinner dolphins. The only negative was the ride back waters were very choppy and many members of the tour got sea sick. But nonetheless the crew did their best to alleviate as best they could. A very memorable excursion. And well worth it.

Captain Wendell, Jon and Aaron were fantastic hosts. Captain Wendell, the most impressive Captain ever. What incredible maneuvering skills! He took the catamaran into a cave ans also backed it up right to the NaPali coast, drove us into a waterfall that we got to drink from. Unbelievable.
It is not for the faint of heart, Catamaran goes super fast, swells and waves can be intense, you do go flying up on the air a couple of times. So no medical issues to go on this trip and you need to be pretty fit to hold on. This particular trip goes to NaPali coast, Niihau and Lehua crater and it was 7 hours long. They do an amazing job keeping you safe but it is not for the faint of heart. Food was great, drink plentiful. Very attentive service from the deckhands, Aaron and Jon.
They even have sunscreen on board. Sit in the back not inside cabin so you do not get sick. They are prepared for those that do get sick though! They handle them well ans with compassion. Sit in the front for a very wet, thrilling fast adrenaline ride.
The snorkeling was amazing, reef on one side and 160 ft drop off on the other side. Saw beautiful fish but also mantas, a shark and a pod of dolphins. Also seals swam with us in the water though I did not see them but other guests did. The dolphins were a beautiful surprise under water!
We also saw a huge pod of dozens of dolphins on the way out to the NaPali coast. They were in the half sleep mode so saw them swimming but not spinning though 2 did spin for us. If you do see them awake and playing, they spin in the air! Highly recommend the NaPali coast, Niihau and snorkeling at Lehua crater. Jon did an amazing job taking pics of everyone that wanted with their own camera. Aaron was super helpful and knowledgeable as well.
Such a fun crew! Even the 80's music the Captain played was fun on the pumped up ride back. Snorkel gear was great and they did an efficient way of fitting us all. Just follow directions exactly from the crew and it is smooth.
Parking was free and easy. Check in a breeze as the girls checking us in were super efficient.
Incredible PRICELESS day.
Was not 100 percent sold before now we think it was worth every penny!!! Don't think twice and book it. The Holo Holo crew is the only one that does the Niihau ans Lehua crater daily ans it is dependent on conditions. But their catamaran was so smooth they are the only ones that go out every day.

I had friends visiting me from the mainland, and our trip with Holo Holo was fantastic. The crew were friendly and knowledgable, and helped everyone have fun while keeping safety a top priority. Though no one can ever guarantee wildlife sightings, we were lucky to see both bottlenose and spinner dolphins as well as the endangered Hawaiian monk seal. The views of the Na Pali Coast were stunning, and we were given plenty of time to take it all in. The snorkel spot at Lehua off the coast of Ni'ihau is unbeatable, and the crew made sure everyone who wanted to get in the water had a safe and enjoyable time regardless of experience level. The food and drinks were perfect for leaving you energized but not weighed down. During a choppy channel crossing, the crew were ready to attend to those who needed assistance. My friends said this was a highlight of their whole trip. I am already planning to bring my next group of visitors on a Holo Holo tour. Mahalo!
