Overview
You will get an amazing 3 mile tour just outside Chattanooga, Tennessee at Nickajack Lake and will learn about gray bats, osprey, cliff swallows, blue heron, and other wildlife. Your guide will discuss how they are all interconnected, what is being done to protect these wild animals, and what impact you can do to help the incredible endangered gray bat. We throw in a little history of the Tennessee River and how it became what it looks like today. With a grand finale of watching 100,00 gray bats leave the cave at sunset.

An absolute wonderful time we got a kayak around we saw tons of wildlife And a Tennessee order swimming I’ve never seen an order in my life that was a first for me and to end the amazing afternoon there’s a beautiful sunset and thousands of bats flying over us would highly recommend you will not regret it

This was such a fun family experience for my husband and I along with our two boys, ages 10/14. No experience needed for the kayaks, although we’ve gone kayaking before. We each had our own kayak and meandered at an easy pace around Nickajak lake while our guide, Josh, shared stories and information about the area and wildlife we saw, which included Cliff Swallows, Osprey, Great Blue Heron, River Otter, turtles, and giant fish leaping throughout the lake. As for the bats, it was one of those experiences that humbles you and gives you a renewed appreciation for the beautiful creation we live in! We each learned something new about the bats and their habitat. Highly recommend this tour!
