The Bat Cave kayak tour was really fun and educational. The setting was beautiful, and guides Zack and Tom were very professional and knowledgeable. We saw Ospreys, a colony of Swifts, and of course the Grey Bats. The trip takes you across Nickajack Reservoir, out into the Tennessee River, and back to the entrance of bat cave on the reservoir at sunset. It was a good workout too. Highly recommended.

This was hands down the coolest activity we did in Chattanooga. Being on the water at sunset with such a knowledgeable guide was both relaxing and engaging. We saw and learned about local birds and got to know more about the Tennessee River. And then to top it all off with the moment when the bats came out to feed was awe inspiring. It’s a visual memory and feeling that’s unforgettable!

Highly recommend this tour with Chattanooga Guided Adventures. Excellent guide. Excellent sunset kayaking. The guide explained very well what to expect once the bats flew out. This was not scary at all. The amazement far outweighed my fear of bats. The guide was knowledgeable on area history, ecology, kayaking and of course the bats. Highly recommend this tour and company!
